Businesswoman leads meeting around table of seven people

Tech Women on Boards

Women in Tech should also be women in the boardroom

📍This event will now be run virtually due to Victoria's 4th lockdown.
Date and Time
🕕 6pm - 8pm
📅 Monday 21st June 2021
If you have been considering a step into a Non Executive Director role yet you're not sure what's needed, where to look or where you could fit in then this is the event for you!

We’ll talk through things like:
  • Why getting on a board is good for your career (and for the world)
  • What you should be thinking about to find the right board role for you
  • Some tips on how to find board roles
At this event, Hannah Browne will join Helga Svendsen, host of the Take on Board podcast and experienced Board member, in a discussion about why women in tech should also be women in the boardroom.
Helga is passionate about gender equity and diversity on boards - it’s why she founded the Board KickStarter program (to support and encourage women into the boardroom) and the Board Accelerator program (to support them once they’re in the boardroom).

She’s a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Board member of the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service.

She’s also a former Board member of Social Housing Victoria, YWCA Victoria and the former Chair of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership. She and Hannah have also worked together on the Greenpeace Australia Pacific Nominations Committee.
